Spanish Club

Our Spanish Club consists of all Spanish students in both Spanish I and Spanish II. We have many projects throughout the year.  We make papel picados, piñatas, paper flowers, many other projects.  We learn and explore different cultural habits.  We also go eat Mexican several times each year.

The classes celebrate two major Hispanic holidays – Day of the Dead, and Cinco de Mayo.  We dress for Day of the Dead and make sugar skulls, etc. We have a parade in the school and go to the elementary school with candy and homemade gifts for the students.  Afterwards, they eat a celebration meal. On Cinco de Mayo, we have games, food, piñatas, races and prizes.
